Big Al’s Island Burger – Provo’s Newest Restaurant

Provo’s latest restaurant has it’s grand opening November 9th, 2013!

Big Al's Island Burger turks and caicos restaurant

Provo’s Newest Restaurant in Saltmills Plaza Grace Bay by the hotels and resorts ~ with a 1950’s setting ~ Big Al’s Island Burger will satisfy your taste buds and take you back for a trip down memory lane

Big Al’s Island Burger opens in Salt Mills and in true 50s style, burgers and fries are served in baskets with newsprint! Doug Camozzi does it again! This time opening this restaurant in honor of his Dad – a seasoned restauranteur who enjoyed a full career in the restaurant biz in San Francisco. And in true Camozzi spirit, Doug’s Mom came for the opening of Big Al’s. It was absolutely lovely to meet her.

So Big Al’s a 50’s style joint, but with a modernized menu. They have a slew of burgers to tempt everyone’s taste buds – From ‘The Smashed Onion’ to ‘New Mexican’, a ‘Tomahawk’ burger, and a few chicked and veg options too. I absolutely loved the turkey burger – definitely the best burger I’ve had in a long time. The Sweet potato fries were perfect on the side.

Other must tries are the steaks as well as the salads – the smoked salmon mandarin salad is absolutely scrumptious! And of course it is also Green Bean’s To Go location – so for all of us who have fallen in love with The Green Bean Café in Turtle Cove, we can now enjoy the coffee as well as paninis and other GB menu items right in the heart of Grace Bay.

All this in a 50s style setting with back-in-times tunes and decor to match.

Be sure to stop in for an Island burger treat and a trip back to memory lane when you’re browsing the shops of Saltmills Plaza in the Grace Bay area.
