I asked the question ‘and how many people will you be traveling with?’. She answered “ONE” with almost an apologetic tone!
I got to thinking… what a great vacation! Everywhere I go I have the kids and hubby in tow – now don’t get me wrong – anyone that know me knows that I would miss them immensely which is probably why I don ‘t travel without them, but the idea of waking up in a gorgeous ocean front suite, enjoying that perfectly brewed cup of coffee, my iPad while listening to the ocean and watching the sunrise .. just sounds amazing.
Then … to head down to the beach and relax on a lounger with some trashy magazines. I’d just be getting up to cool off with a swim.
Ummm, hang on… I’M NOT THE ONE GOING ON VACATION HERE (although, it does sound kind of tempting).
We chatted for quite some time and together, we chose a low key, relaxing resort, with a good mix or couples, families and some single travelers too.
THE OUTCOME
When she returned from her vacation and got back home, I touched base with her to ask how it all went … she said ‘the resort we chose could not have been more perfect, I even walked up and down Grace Bay beach several times to scope out other resorts for a possible other trip, and decided that I’d return to the same resort next year’.
Another happy Turks & Caicos vacationer – I love it when a plan comes together.
Turks and Caicos is the perfect spot for just this type of quiet yet luxurious relaxation. It’s a very safe island destination and friendly as well. If you want to head off to a bar in the evening, before the night is through, it’ll be the spot where “everyone know your name!“
